About the Festival
Following the successful ‘Church Times Festival of Faith and Literature’ and the ‘Festival of Preaching’, this Spring sees the first ‘Church Times Festival of Poetry’ partnering with Sarum College.
With talks on the value of poetry, poetry and prayer, and the war poets in 2018, as well as poetry readings from the early morning to late night in the Victorian Chapel, it will be a wonderful chance to immerse yourself in poetry this Spring.
We will be in the beautiful surroundings of Sarum College for the weekend, a Grade 1 listed building in the shadow of Salisbury Cathedral, where we will finish with a Festival Evensong on the Sunday.
All tickets include delicious lunches prepared on-site with local ingredients, as well as tea and coffee breaks. There is the opportunity to join us for a splendid Wine Reception and Gala Dinner with many of our poets, followed by candlelit late night poetry from Pádraig Ó Tuama, as well as to stay the weekend in Sarum College's accommodation in the historic Cathedral Close.
So do take a look at our programme - and we hope to see you in May.
